Praveen K Ganapathy drives business and technical strategy
for consumer, automotive and emerging business areas such
as medical electronics. Prior to this role, Praveen was
General Manager, Embedded Software and incubated various
software groups within TI India including DSP Emerging
End Equipments, Wireless/OMAP, Automotive & DLP (Digital
Light Processing). He was elected to TI's technical ladder
in 1996 for his contributions in the area of imaging and
was the technical lead for the product that won the EDN
Innovation of the Year Award for the year 2000. Praveen
holds over 6 US patents & has over 4 international
publications in the area of imaging to his credit. He
is also currently Chairman of the REACH Monitoring Committee,
TIFAC-CORE Digital Image Processing/Medical (a government
of India initiative to build deep expertise in niche technology
areas which are industry relevant). He has a Master's
Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from BITS
Pilani. |

Prior to joining TI was working as Sr. FAE at Motorola
Semiconductor Division ( now spun off as Freescale Semiconductor
) to support all 8/16 bit MCUs and DSCs.

Madhusudhan Y is Assistant Manager, Technical
Support at QNX. He has hands-on experience on a wide
range of Embedded Tools like ATMEL AVR, PIC Microcontroller,

He has also worked on Real Time Operating Systems like
QNX RTOS. In addition, he was worked on tools like 32-bit
LPC 2129 ARM Microcontroller and Atmel Sam7 Microcontroller
board, Atmel 89c51 board, Keil IDE and IAR Embedded
Workbench.

Venugopala Krishna M received a bachelor’s degree
in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri
Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur and a master’s degree
in Signal Processing from Indian Institute of Technology,
Madras. He is working with the Multimedia Codec Group,
Texas Instruments, Bangalore, India since 2004. He is
actively involved in the development of optimized video
encoders and algorithms on several TI platforms based
on C64x and C64x+. He is currently involved with development
of optimized video codecs on the DM6467 based devices
primarily targeting the High Density Video Applications.
Areas of Interest include DSP H/w and S/w Architecture
and Video Encoding algorithms. |

Satish Kumar received a bachelor’s degree in
Electronics and Communication from PDA College of Engineering,
VTU, Gulbarga. He is working with Texas Instruments India
since 1999 and has worked on embedded software development

based on C54x, C55x, C64x and C64x+. He is currently involved
with the optimized implementation of Audio and Video codecs
on SOCs based on C64+ DSP. His areas of interest include

Syed Mohammed Khasim started his career in 2001
with Linux devices for Single board computers and TI DSP
applications & solutions. In 2004 he joined Texas
Instruments as a Linux Consultant through Wipro technologies.
After spending last three years (2004 - 07) in TI head
quarters (Dallas, Texas USA) as a Linux Consultant and
Open Source Facilitator for Wireless software development
& strategies, he moved back to India and joined as
a Technical Lead for Open Platforms in DSPS / Catalog
applications division of TI. In last couple of years,
Khasim has pioneered and lead various initiatives in TI
to meet the increase in demand for Mobile Linux on TI
chipsets and processors. Khasim earned a B.E. in Computer
Science & Engg in 2001 from BMS college of Engineering,
Bangalore, India. |

Prabindh Sundareson is a Senior Technical Architect
at TI Bangalore, focusing on Graphics solutions across
platforms. He has worked on audio compression standards
like MP3, AAC, WMA, implementing efficient transform
algorithms and redundancy coding techniques.He designed
one of the first development systems that employed the
SD card for playing back and storing protected content.He
has presented at international forums like AES, and
is the current secretary and Senior Member of the IEEE
SP Society. He holds 3 patents, and has several pending
at the USPTO.He holds a Masters degree in Electronics
from Indian Institute of Science. |

Manu Mathew received his Bachelor's degree from
REC Calicut in 1997 and Master's Degree from IISc Bangalore
in 2000. He worked has worked in Sasken, Samsung headquarters
in Korea and then at TI since then. He has been working
in video coding for the last 5 years and is interested
in video coding, video quality and scalable video coding.
He contributed to the MPEG/ITU Joint Video Team that standardized

Sonia Ghelani joined Texas Instruments this past
July after graduating with a B.S. in biomedical engineering
from the University of Texas at Austin. As a marketing
manager for the Digital Media products, she plays a business
development role to identify key markets and applications,
driving collateral development and other strategic initiatives
across the platform.

Srikanth (Srik) Gurrapu is currently working
as Product Line Marketing Manager for the Low Power C5000
Processors Business Unit in Texas Instruments. The industry’s
lowest power C5000 processor family has the largest installed
DSP user base and has been instrumental in enabling extensive
innovation in many markets such as voice, audio and communications.
Srik Gurrapu has been with TI for over 10 years working
on various technologies in Digital Communications and
Audio Processing, Wireless Base stations and Embedded
Processors. He has led embedded processors business development
(MSP430, C5000, C6000, OMAP and DaVinci) in medical and
military markets. Srik Gurrapu has a Masters degree in
Electrical and Computer Engineering from University Of
Kansas. He has 2 patents in embedded processing architectures
and is a Member of Technical Staff in Texas Instruments. |

Subrahmanya Bharathi received a bachelor's degree
in Electronics and Communication from National Institute
of Technology, Warangal. He is currently working as design
lead for the Piccolo series of designs in AEC group. Prior
to this he worked primarily in design verification of
several C2000 DSP based projects and floating point CPU
development. His areas of interest include Design verification
techniques and system applications.

Srivatsa Raghunath, Analog Applications Engineer,
TI, Bangalore. Has been with TI India for the last 2 ½
years. His primary responsibility is to assist customers
in selecting and using the optimal power management devices

TI he was working as India FAE at ON Semi (Motorola Semiconductor
spin-off) to support all power management products of
ON. In his free time he loves travelling around to different
